Pragel Pass tour

The starting point of the more than 30 km-long Pragelstrasse is the municipality of Netstal in the canton of Glarus. From here, the road leads up Lake Klöntal to Richisau,

from which point Pragel Pass is closed to motorised traffic on Saturdays and Sundays. From Richisau, the road is narrow but paved the entire way and climbs at a gradient of 18% up to the summit of 1,550 m ASL. Many turns and bends lead down the narrow road to Hinterthal, part of the municipality of Muotathal in the eponymous Muotatal Valley.
