Flowtrail Klöntal

Flowtrail

The idea for a flowtrail was first conceived over six years ago now by bikestopstation owner Chrigel Müller. Together with the municipality of Glarus and with the help of generous sponsors, the project was planned and implemented over a construction period of eight months. The trail was successfully opened in the summer of 2020 and can be split into three parts: it starts off gently. A pump track that doesn’t just go in circles, the initial waves, a few bends back-to-back. A short stretch of asphalt road leads to part two: a couple of bumps, then the trail picks up speed again. That’s when things start getting steep and rocky. Serpentine roads lead through the undergrowth until the forest clears somewhat and Glarus comes into view. Once you clear the last stretch of waves, the road reappears at the Schiessplatz Allmeind (‘Allmeind shooting range’).
